Job Coach Permanent, Part-Time Contract 17.5 hours per week Supervisor/Instructor Pay Scale €16,790 to €24,682 Location: House of the Oireachtas, Dublin The Supported Employment Team support people with an intellectual disability to gain and maintain a paid job of their choice in the open labour market. The Job Coach provides support to individuals in their jobs in a variety of locations where the job has been sourced. Responsibilities Supporting individual with Intellectual Disability in paid employment in the Dublin area Support Project OWL within the House of the Oireachtas Support the individual to enhance their life by ensuring that the goals and objectives outlined in their Individual Support Plan under the area of Work and Career are achieved. Facilitate the Individual to learn new skills by and when appropriate, assist the Service User to complete job specific and work related tasks in accordance with their employers standards. Where relevant, make adaptations or modifications to the individuals job structure based on the employers requirements and the individuals needs. Liaise with the employer and relevant co-workers with regard to supporting the individual while in work. Support each person where appropriate with regards to their personal and intimate care in accordance with Kares Personal and Intimate Care Policy. Maintain all necessary records in accordance with Kares managing records policy and assist with ensuring all records are up to date. Maintain high professional standards and confidentiality at all times. In line with the organisations key priorities identify, develop and maintain potential partnerships that are beneficial to Service Users and the organisation. Requirements Qualification: QQI Level 5 Intellectual Disability Practice - 5 Components must include Empowering the Individual, Intellectual Disability and Community Inclusion Have an interest in supporting people with an intellectual disability to be part of their community through their job Have the ability to develop and implement systematic training plans for individuals with an intellectual disability (on the job training) IT skills and the ability to carry out administrative tasks e.g., e-mail correspondence, report writing, use of assistive technology Enjoy working on your own with a person with an intellectual disability Have the ability to build trusting and respectful relationships with the individual, their family and their employer and co-workers Have a full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle Benefits Salary paid on HSE Scale with annual increment 25 days annual leave Paid Maternity/Paternity Leave(subject to service) Rewarding work with flexible hours Employee Assistance Programme Contributory Pension Plan Optional Salary Protection Plan Personal Development, Professional Growth and Career Progression How to Apply Please submit your current CV and cover letter, outlining your suitability for the role.
