Position: E 11 TV-L Professional and personal recruitment requirements: Completed university degree (Bachelor's or comparable) in computer science, IT security, administrative or business informatics or a comparable, relevant subject with a technical focus or completed vocational training as an IT specialist with at least three years of professional experience after graduation in the advertised area of responsibility Experience in the field of IT security, ideally in a scientific environment Sound knowledge of backup infrastructures Knowledge and practical experience in the field of security mechanisms at network, operating system and application level according to the state of the art, in particular VPN, firewalls, security analyses, penetration tests and attack methods Knowledge of state-of-the-art IT service and IT security management frameworks Knowledge of the relevant BSI standards, in particular IT baseline protection Experience in project management High level of commitment, organizational skills as well as a strong ability to work in a team and empathy Communication and assertiveness skills Ability to work independently and autonomously Tasks and requirements: Design and implementation of a central backup and recovery strategy for the ZIM and administrative IT systems Coordination and implementation of restart tests as part of the backup and recovery strategy Designing and implementing measures to improve IT security, including security analyses Establishment, operation and further development of systems to implement preventive IT security measures Processing security incidents and implementing the necessary IT measures in close coordination with employees in ZIM and administrative IT Advising BUW employees on IT security issues, particularly in the area of backup and recovery We offer flexible working hours with the option of working from home on a pro rata basis, a pleasant and collegial working atmosphere and other benefits such as the additional public service pension scheme (VBL), participation in university sports and varied catering in the campus canteens.
