We are advertising a job role of health and safety advisor for our client who is a leading sustainable solutions specialist in the construction industry.
This is a great opportunity for a H&S advisor to further their career within an ever-growing company. You will be reporting directly to the H&S manager and working to uphold the standard that they have achieved. They class Health and Safety as being a main priority within their organisation.
Day-to-day responsibilities: Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry.Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks.Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards and communicating to all employees.Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements.Keeping records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers.Delivering Toolbox Talks and liaising with HSE, Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers.Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to.Making changes to working practices making them safer and ensuring they comply with current legislation.Skills and qualifications: Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred).1+ years as a H&S Advisor/Officer.Previous construction experience.Must work well as a team and be able to collaborate with others.This is an excellent opportunity for somebody that wants to further their career in health and safety with great career progression opportunities.
