Overview of the Post We are seeking an experienced Dev Ops Engineer to join the Applications & Data Services Team within Information Technology.
There are two main aspects to the role: Design, develop and maintain Operational / ERP Reports ideally through Business Objects however other reporting tools may be considered.
Maintaining existing reports that are business critical is also essential to the post, most common of which is Power BI and SQL.
Applications and API development as approved through the Design Authority.
The candidate will be a significant contributor to the Design Authority Process which ensures an agile approach to our applications development.
Your abilities & responsibilities will include: Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Python or other scripting skills.
Assist in the development and maintenance of business applications and APIs.
Advanced data transformational skills using Power Query in Excel.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Ability to Import and Extract Data from SAP Data Workbench and other Tools Ability to transform data using advanced Excel tools or other technologies Ability to gather requirements from a user using various techniques Conduct in-depth environment analysis to identify new projects, improve processes, and increase our security posture.
Provide input into overall architecture and security roadmap.
Desired Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Proficiency in Python programming or other scripting language (min 2+ years experience).
Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Working knowledge of SAP Hana.
Strong understanding of best practice when it comes to information security and risk.
Excellent analytical & diagnostic skills with excellent attention to detail.
