Kitchen Assistant

A part time Kitchen Assistant is required to work in a busy Nursing Home kitchen.
Responsibilities The part-time Kitchen Assistant will be required to perform a range of duties around the kitchen, including: Washing, peeling and preparing food ingredients Using equipment such as mixers, special knives and cutters Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed Unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes and pans Observing cooking times and correct temperatures Interacting with Residents to ensure they are happy and their needs are met.
Qualifications and Experience Experience in a similar role either in a nursing home or hospitality setting is desirable but not necessary.
Strong English language skills.
Right to work in Ireland.
Customer Service Skills.
