JWR Employment Specialists are partnering with a rapidly expanding Mechanical Engineering firm in Mayo to hire a Lead Mechanical Engineer.

In this key leadership position, you will oversee the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems, with a particular emphasis on pipework and instrumentation. You will lead a team of engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are successfully delivered while maintaining industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise in pipework and instrumentation. Oversee the design and development of mechanical systems, including the creation and interpretation of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PNIDs). Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, designers, and other engineering disciplines, to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables. Conduct technical reviews and provide feedback on design documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in mechanical engineering processes, leveraging emerging technologies and best practices to enhance project efficiency and quality. Lead the resolution of technical challenges and provide technical support during project execution, addressing issues related to pipework design, layout, and installation. Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols in all aspects of mechanical engineering activities, promoting a culture of safety and compliance within the team. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field. Proven experience 4 in a lead engineering role, with a focus on mechanical engineering, pipework design, and instrumentation. In-depth knowledge of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (PNIDs), including interpretation, development, and implementation. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components, with expertise in pipework design, layout, and installation. Proficiency in engineering software tools, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar, for design and analysis purposes. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively lead a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex engineering challenges and develop innovative solutions.
