Position: Localization Developer Duration: Full Time Location: Dublin (Ireland) Job Summary: Development, production, and localization of web-based learning solutions and instructor-led training materials.
Primary job responsibilities include collaborating with client subject matter experts to research, organize, write/produce course content and ensure it is appropriate for the intended audience.
Primary responsibilities: Work with content teams to develop content for WBT, CBT, and ILT courseware using interactive learning models and taking into account adult learning principles.Develop and produce compliant instructor-led training materials and web-based learning solutions for sales reps of various brands.Collaborate with client subject matter experts to research, organize, and write course content; consult with brand experts to ensure all product information is up-to-date.Use a variety of development tools to put the content into its interactive format.Receive developed content and localize/adapt it to create multiple versions, implementing both contextualization and language adaptations to the original assets.Participate in working sessions with clients and brand consultants, respond to feedback, and incorporate it into high-quality deliverables.Review existing content for out-of-date information around product information, product licensing, competitors, regulatory environment, and/or brand, performing edits as required to ensure content is current and compliant.Support translations as required, including coordinating and managing content reviews and signoffs with stakeholders in the Localization team.Other responsibilities: Launch tasks and manage workflows within VeevaVault PromoMats; ensure that content meets requirements and that references are appropriately anchored.Use machine translation software to generate content for different markets in different languages.Assist in analysis of content for cultural sensitivity and region-specific examples including but not limited to units of measurements, imagery, colloquialisms, and/or tabus in a given location.Review courses for content errors and ensure that all images and graphics accurately represent course content and are culturally suitable for the region of deployment.Required Competencies: Medical/scientific writing experience with the understanding that the human health content is focused on, but not limited to cardiovascular/respiratory medicine, virology, immunology, and/or vaccines.Proven experience in learning development and authoring tools.Experience in a regulated industry and with global markets.Strategic mindset around content development; able to analyze existing materials and propose innovative solutions embracing new technologies (e.g., AI).High attention to detail across many components across a suite of assets.Self-directed with a demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines.Able to deal well with ambiguity, high-complexity projects, and fast-paced change.Ability to establish priorities and handle multiple assignments concurrently with a minimum of direction in an evolving work environment and foresee risks.Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills including being able to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms.Strong project and time management skills; managing multiple priorities while interacting pleasantly and productively with others.Team player with a positive attitude, sense of urgency, and willingness to do whatever is needed to achieve project goals and requirements.Preferred Competencies: Experience in Veeva Vault PromoMats including adding references/anchors.Proven background in the life sciences/pharmaceutical industry.Experience with the medical and legal review process in the pharma industry.Familiarity with international Regulatory Affairs requirements (e.g., labelling, copyrights, trademarks).Experience with supporting reviews and managing translations with in-language/in-country reviewers.Experience with Storyline, Rise, Vyond, Adobe or similar to develop content.NIIT is an equal-opportunity employer.
