We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Manager for our client, a food supplier. Based in Gorey, County Wexford and reporting directly to the site production manager, this role requires leading, supervising, and assisting the maintenance team, as well as knowledge of maintaining heavy-duty equipment and preventative maintenance procedures.
Main Duties Help management on site implement, drive, and improve preventive maintenance procedures. Effectively manage uptime/downtime of machinery. Manage the maintenance team efficiently and effectively. React immediately to any breakdowns or problems and resolve them as quickly and efficiently as possible using the resources available. Assist site management in the general sourcing of everyday parts, services, and third-party repairs. Follow up on parts deliveries and oversee the incoming of parts and stock. Ensure the completion of all maintenance records. Maintain Health and Safety and Hygiene standards in accordance with the company rules and regulations. Coordinate and oversee the preventative measures. Implement stock control systems. Liaise with and assist third-party contractors in carrying out their duties and ensure the necessary insurance, safety statements, or other relevant documentation are on file for new contractors. Assist with engineering budgets and cost analysis. Competencies: Qualification in electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent. Similar industry experience will be beneficial. Sound hands-on mechanical and electrical knowledge of equipment. Previous experience of supervising and leading maintenance teams. Previous experience of implementing and managing preventive maintenance systems. Strong troubleshooting/problem-solving skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Strong work ethic - respond effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Flexible and adaptable. Does it sound like you?
