We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner.
The Maintenance Planner will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of equipment and systems within our Client's pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Cork.
This role focuses on planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage detailed maintenance plans, including preventive, corrective, and predictive tasks.Coordinate with the Maintenance and Operations teams to schedule maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to production.Maintain and optimize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Plan and allocate resources, including labor, materials, tools, and equipment, for all maintenance activities.Coordinate with third-party vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks.Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to GMP, regulatory, and safety standards.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history.Generate and review reports on maintenance performance metrics.Analyze maintenance data to identify trends, root causes of equipment failures, and opportunities for improvement.Propose and implement changes to enhance maintenance processes and equipment reliability.Work closely with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to ensure alignment of maintenance activities with plant objectives.Participate in shutdown planning and execution.QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance planning within a pharmaceutical, biotech, or similarly regulated industry.Strong knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements.Proficiency with CMMS platforms (e.g., SAP, Maximo).Excellent organizational and planning skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) practices.Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.Experience in managing plant shutdowns and turnarounds.Attention to detail and commitment to quality.Proactive and results-driven mindset.Collaborative team player with a safety-first approach.
