Maintenance Supervisor – The Clayton Hotel Silver Springs
We have a fantastic new vacancy for Maintenance Supervisor in the excellent Clayton Silver Springs and Conference Centre.
Objective of the Role Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will assist with ensuring the property is maintained to the highest possible standards. You will be professional, enthusiastic and trustworthy. You will demonstrate excellent team leading abilities as well as the initiative required to multitask in this busy environment.
Main Duties: To supervise and provide general maintenance. To supervise plumbers, electricians and other outside contractors to ensure that work is completed to a satisfactory standard and the place of work is returned to order. Source suppliers, negotiate prices, and renegotiate annual contracts for all hotel and kitchen equipment, including all health and safety items (Fire Extinguishers, alarms, defibrillators, etc.). Liaise with accounts to ensure all purchases are in line with budget, ensuring that a purchase order is done and approved for all purchases. To establish a duty manager SOP guide for any maintenance or health and safety issues that may arise in the absence of maintenance and be responsible for the full training of Duty Managers on this SOP. To reactively alter procedures and fix any procedures as a result of any reported incidents in order to reduce risk and prevent this incident from reoccurring. Monitor utilities and proactively source more energy-efficient resolutions. Project manage any and all refurbishment or capital expenditure projects in a cost-efficient manner to ensure Dalata and Health & Safety standards are followed. To set a good example for your team with regard to application to work, work attitude, personal presentation, punctuality, and attendance. Ideal Candidate will have: Excellent work history from the hotel sector in Ireland (2-3 years ideally). Previous supervisory experience in a similar hotel environment. Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment and be standards driven. A good knowledge of Health and Safety. Great relationship-building skills with customers and the team. Flexibility in day-to-day job demands, remaining focused when priorities and practices change. Excellent organizational skills. Electrical and plumbing qualifications would be advantageous.
