Management Accountant

Your new company We are thrilled to be working in partnership with a leading construction company seeking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant for their growing team based in Salary €50,000 - €55,000 Your new role Reporting directly to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for: Preparation of monthly management reporting pack to Finance Manager/Director Month End close - Journals, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations.
Liaise with the Finance Manager in reviewing month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
Development of budgetary processes and formal annual budgets with monthly budget reporting report on variances.
Help others get the most out of data management systems by providing support and advice.
Ensuring all VAT/Statutory returns and payments are prepared in line with requirements.
Build relationships with key stakeholders across the business to develop business acumen, commercial awareness and to act as a strategic business partner.
Treasury - Cash Management, posting transactions, reconciliations, payment runs.
Monthly variance analysis enabling senior management to understand and interpret data to facilitate continuous improvement.
What you'll need to succeed Ideally you will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) with post-qualification experience in a similar and/or relevant role.
You should have a proven ability to produce management accounts and a monthly reporting cycle.
Highly commercial with strong analytical skills and good attention to detail.
Experience in the construction industry would be advantageous but is not essential.
