Managing Quantity Surveyor Dublin West €100k + Package Required for medium-sized contractor undertaking projects in the Residential, Commercial, Data sector and Healthcare sectors Typical projects will range from €5m-25m.
This role will suit a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for progression into a Commercial Manager/Managing QS role.
Key Responsibilities Oversee all commercial aspects of projects, including procurement, contract management, cost control, and financial reporting.
Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for projects, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project specifications.
Manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and timely resolution of disputes.
Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring financial viability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Financial Reporting: Provide regular financial reports to senior management, including cost analysis, cash flow forecasts, and profitability assessments.
Lead the procurement process, negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favourable terms and conditions.
Monitor project progress against budget and schedule, implementing corrective actions where necessary to maintain project objectives.
Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.
Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors and commercial staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Requirements • Minimum of 8 years of experience in quantity surveying and commercial management within a main contracting environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as RICS or CIOB are highly desirable.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost estimating software, contract management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proven track record of successful negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
