POSITION: Manufacturing Plant Operator
LOCATION: Navan
SALARY: Negotiable DOE
An Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Plant Operator. You will report to the Plant Supervisor. The role of the Manufacturing Plant Operator is to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Plant.
Responsibilities Manage and monitor a computerised control roomConduct product testing on the finished starch productManage the movement of finished products using a forkliftComply with Health & Safety Policy, Safety Rules and Statutory requirements applying to all operations within the specified line of responsibilityEnsure that all products meet or exceed the agreed internal and customer specification and quality standardsAssist in the co-ordination of external customer visits and internal auditsEnsure that company targets are achieved and appropriate actions to resolve issues are takenDeliver improved Production efficiencies, namely Safety, Process Reliability (PR), waste elimination; first time Quality and material usagesRequirements Higher level qualification is desirable in one of the following areas: Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, or food related disciplineStrong PC skills, familiar with automation, PID controller, Computer literate, Microsoft office toolsAbility to work as part of a project team2 years minimum experience within a manufacturing plant would be desirableExcellent communication skills: ability to liaise with varying management at all levels, both internal and externalExcellent interpersonal skillsSelf-motivatedProblem solving skillsUses initiative and is open to changeAbility and drive to continue building personal capabilityNote: Due to the urgency of this vacancy, it is not possible for our client at this time to consider anyone without the appropriate work permits, visas or sponsorships already in place.
