Manufacturing Specialist – Mullingar Permanent position Shift: 24/7 Benefits: Pension, Healthcare Opportunities for progression Job Purpose The Manufacturing Specialist is a member of the Manufacturing team who is responsible for supporting daily operations of production, monitoring product and processes in compliance with standard operating procedures to ensure all customer and standard requirements are met. Duties and Responsibilities The primary duties to include: 1. Perform start up and restart operations on specified equipment associated within the manufacturing cell. 2. Carry out basic troubleshooting and fault finding. 3. Verify and perform checks on machinery and equipment and document data while following protocols. 4. Utilize, record and understand basic metrology data, using the metrology and testing equipment available, including CMM, MicroVu and OGP. 5. Utilize metrology equipment and test fixtures to assess and release product. 6. Monitor manufacturing and packaging procedures. 7. Visually assess product and processes as required and document all relevant production related data. 8. Participate in continuous improvement programs to implement improvements in the quality, safety, environmental and production systems at the site. 9. Support change management processes as part of the role and ethos of continuous improvement 10. Ownership of key internal operational performance metrics, including output equipment uptime, scrap. 11. Support NPI activity within the group. 12. Maintain compliance with ISO standards and regulations 13. Carry out all activities in a safe manner to ensure the safety of both personnel and equipment. Competencies Required Education & Training Leaving Certificate Colour Blindness test Manufacturing Specialist Internal Training Programme Cyber Security training Skills Good communication skills IT Skills, including computer applications such as IQMS, Microsoft Office and Cyber Security Problem solving skills Basic math Basic technical ability Accuracy, Precision and attention to detail Detail oriented Ability to understand Work Instructions Ability to understand customer quality requirements Ability to understand Packaging requirements for different types of plastic parts Ability to print accurate labels and understand numbering systems Ability to write a well written record, following GDP Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with peers and Supervisors Be trustworthy, honest and behave in an ethical manner Experience A blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of the specific production processes that they are responsible for.
