We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Handling Subject Matter Expert (SME) to oversee and manage projects involving the implementation and optimization of robotic systems, cobots, and AGVs.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in materials handling processes, automation technologies, and project management.
ResponsibilitiesLead and manage projects focused on the integration of robotics, cobots, and AGVs in materials handling operations.Conduct needs assessments to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and IT, to design and implement effective materials handling solutions.Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to schedules and cost constraints.Provide technical expertise and guidance on the selection, installation, and maintenance of robotic systems and automation equipment.Analyze data and metrics to evaluate the performance of materials handling systems and make recommendations for improvements.Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to materials handling and automation.Train and mentor staff on materials handling best practices and the effective use of robotics and automation technologies.Prepare and present project reports and updates to stakeholders and management.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Robotics, Industrial Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in materials handling, automation, or related fields.Strong understanding of robotics, cobots, and AGVs, including design, programming, and operational considerations.Proven experience managing projects from concept through execution and post-implementation review.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Trello, etc.
).Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile) are a plus.
