Electrical Tendering Engineer.
Our client, a successful and well-established manufacturing company in Co. Cavan, are currently seeking a ElectricalTendering Engineerto join their organisation.
This ispermanent position, working week Monday Friday.
The Electrical tendering engineer will report to the Commercial Manager and will liaise frequently with the Design Team.
Duties & Responsibilities.
Prepare necessary documents, drawings, calculations, and cost estimates in line with customer requirements.
Create detailed cost estimates based on project specifications, including materials, labour, equipment, and subcontracting.
Evaluate the financial and manufacturing feasibility of the project.
Identify and address commercial and technical risks.
Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers for necessary information and clarifications.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.
Transfer winning tenders to Customer Service, noting milestones, risks, and any non-standard aspects.
Ensure tender documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
Provide technical support and clarifications during the evaluation and negotiation phases.
Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and business opportunities.
Essential Requirements.
Bachelors degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related field).
Relevant certifications in project management or cost estimation are advantageous.
3-5 years in a similar role, ideally within the engineering or construction sector.
In-depth understanding of engineering principles and construction methods.
Skilled in using tendering and cost estimation software.
Knowledgeable about project management tools and practices.
Capable of analysing complex project specifications and creating precise cost estimates.
Skilled in identifying potential issues and offering effective solutions.
