Mechanical Design Engineers required for an Agricultural machinery manufacturing company in Mayo. Key Responsibilities: Production of 3D Models and 2D Fabrication Drawings for customised machines based on the specification to include hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic elements. Working on Solidworks on a number of new and existing machine and product designs. Prototyping (some hands-on with fitting Team). Liaise with Sales and production staff to produce detailed specifications and designs based on individual customer requirements. Liaise with production management and staff prior to and during fabrication and assembly of customised machines. Generation and Maintenance of User and Technical Manuals for finished machines. Provide Technical support as part of the after sales service. Essential Criteria: Have a hands-on approach and can-do attitude. Degree in engineering or qualified by experience. + 2 years Design experience. Strong capabilities in Design for Manufacture. Competence in use of Solid Works 3D modelling. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Desirable Criteria: Ideally worked within the Agricultural or Construction Machinery design and manufacturing industry. Have worked within a manufacturing design department. Machine or Vehicle design experience. PDM experience. Whole product CAD experience. Ideal Candidate: Ideally an innovative engineer with a practical approach, who is not afraid to get their hands dirty, energetic, enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal skills, working well within a team and individually to generate new and fresh ideas and put them into practice in design and throughout production techniques.
