Medical Secretary Grade IV (Panel) Purpose of the Role: The purpose of this post is to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide secretarial & administrative support to a specialty and/or specialties.
Please note high volume Dictaphone typing is a core function of the role of Medical Secretary.

Essential Criteria:

· Achieved Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification not less than Level 6 in the QQI framework

· Have at least two years secretarial/administrative experience in a healthcare environment is preferable.

· 6 months experience in Dictaphone typing essential: Candidates will be required to sit a medical typing test at interview stage.

· Evidence of customer service skills/experience

· Competent in using Microsoft package

· Ability to communicate fluently in both written and orally
