Meeting & Events Manager– Clayton Hotel Liffey Valley We have a fantastic new vacancy for Meeting & Events Manager in the excellent Clayton Hotel Liffey Valley Objective of the Role The role gives the Meeting & Events Manager the opportunity to work with an experienced and dedicated team. Key Duties and Responsibilities To manage the meeting & events team and the overall department. To ensure all guests receive a genuine, warm, friendly welcome on arrival and during their stay To liaise directly with suppliers to ensure all necessary equipment is ordered for all Events To assist the guests at all times. To carry out departmental tasks in accordance with the SOP manual. To liaise with the Operations Manager, Head Chef and other departmental managers to communicate any changes to upcoming events. To assist in controlling departmental costs within the standards set by the departmental manager. The above list is not exhaustive and can be changed to meet the demands of the business and ensure budgeted revenue is delivered. Experience and Key Attributes The employee should be a positive, pro-active, outgoing and energetic individual with a "can do" attitude. They must have a proven track record in converting Wedding, Conference and Event enquires to conformed sales. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar Wedding, Conference and Events or Sales role is required. An in-depth knowledge of Opera PMS and S&C is essential. The candidate must have strong organisational and communication skills with a pride in the attention to detail they take in their work. We are looking for highly motivated person with good business acumen and an eye for an opportunity.
