Summary: Reporting to the Vice President AML Officer Services – Manager - AML Officer Services, this position will be an integral part of the team's success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThis is a great opportunity to join a growing team to increase AML & fund knowledge by being appointed directly to a fund (predominantly alternative funds), working closely with the service providers to the fund to ensure the fund is meeting its AML obligations and attend board meetings to present the MLRO report and respond to queries.

Build a relationship with all the stakeholders of the funds (Administrator, Client, Board etc.
)Manage daily, weekly, monthly and annual deadlines applicable to the fundAct as a point of escalation for the client/board of the fundProvide support to the AML Officer Services Vice PresidentAssist in the maintenance and updating of team policies and procedures in response to changing regulations and emerging risksEnsure all required compliance monitoring is completed in a timely and accurate mannerContribute to the design and delivery of training to client boardsAssist in the preparation and submission of any regulatory filings and/or reports on behalf of Waystone's clients to external competent authoritiesAct as MLRO/DMLRO and AMLCO of client's fundsReceive and investigate suspicious activity reports ("SARs") and where deemed necessary, report SARs to the appropriate reporting authoritiesReport on Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing to the fund board/governing body at its scheduled meetingsConduct an annual review of the Fund Administrator's and/or Investment Manager's Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing procedures and controls, as applicablePerform periodic testing to verify the Fund's/Investment Entity's compliance with applicable AML regulationsAttend onboarding meetings and assist new clients with the processWillingness to take on new challenges and ownershipCollaborate within the wider Waystone group, leveraging technology and internal expertise to promote continuous improvement and to help meet annual targetsEXPERIENCEApproximately 5 years' experience preferably in financial services/fund administration with exposure to AML compliance, preferably in HedgeConsistent attention to detailStrong analytical skillsA good understanding of AML / CFT in a number of jurisdictions, but in particular, Ireland and the Cayman IslandsHave excellent ability to work with a number of departments in order to achieve goals while building on existing relationshipsExceptional presenting capabilitiesEffective communication skills at all levelsAbility to lead a teamEDUCATIONUniversity degree preferably specializing in law, business or regulationProfessional qualification (such as ACOI, AML qualification) desirable but not required
