We are partnering with a leading public sector organisation to recruit a Research and Development Programme Executive on a 12 month contract!
Sitting within the Research and Development Team, we have an exciting opportunity for a programme executive, to work across creating solutions for decarbonizing Ireland's energy system.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in this department, reporting directly to the Programme Manager.
You will join a dynamic and innovative team committed to delivering high-quality outputs aligned with the mandates under relevant acts.
These responsibilities include coordinating, promoting, and facilitating research, development, and demonstration of sustainable energy technologies.
The team oversees a National Energy Funding Programme annually.
The team also collaborates on other national and international funding initiatives, compiles national energy research data, shares insights through a conference and seminar series, and works closely with colleagues across the department, government departments, and the EU.
Essential Requirements The ideal candidate will demonstrate: A minimum of 3 years' experience in research programme administration/management or in an energy research-related field.
A third-level qualification in a relevant energy-related area, with a background in engineering, science, or social science, or equivalent.
Knowledge of Ireland's energy research strengths and opportunities.
Understanding of national and European energy policy priorities and the role of research in achieving these goals.
Desirable Requirements Experience working in an energy research environment within the public sector, academia, or industry.
A postgraduate or PhD-level qualification.
