Network Engineer Location: Dublin 12, Ireland Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite/Remote Work) Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our clients dynamic IT team in Dublin 12. This permanent position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a balance of remote and onsite work. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in networking, with a minimum qualification of CCNP, and extensive experience in Azure technologies. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing our network infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity, and maintaining high levels of security and performance. Your expertise in Azure, including Azure AD, SCCM, WSUS, and Intune MDM, will be critical in supporting our cloud-based services and enhancing our IT capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Network Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and other networking infrastructure. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency. Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. Azure Cloud Services: Manage and optimize Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) to support user authentication, authorization, and security. Deploy and maintain Azure-based applications and services, ensuring optimal configuration and performance. Utilize SCCM and WSUS for patch management, software deployment, and system updates across the network. Mobile Device Management (MDM): Implement and manage Intune MDM solutions to secure and manage mobile devices across the organization. Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices for mobile device usage. Security and Compliance: Monitor network security, identify vulnerabilities, and implement necessary security measures. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, maintaining a secure and reliable network environment. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with cross-functional teams to support IT projects and initiatives. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users, resolving network-related issues promptly. Key Qualifications: Education & Certification: Minimum CCNP certification required. Additional certifications in Azure, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, are highly desirable. Experience: Proven experience in network engineering, with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing network infrastructure. Strong experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure AD, SCCM, WSUS, and Intune MDM. Experience with network security practices and technologies. Skills: Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting network devices (routers, switches, firewalls). Strong understanding of networking protocols, IP addressing, and subnetting. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
