We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist (Postural and Motor Management Service) to join our team in CHO1 Cavan Children's Disability Network Team.
Contract Type: Permanent Full Time Contract Hours: 35 hours per week Salary Scale: €64,123 to €74,738 pro rata per annum. Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro rata per annum. Overview of the Post:To provide a high standard of occupational therapy service to support primary therapists and service users & families in CHO 1 Cavan including advanced and specialised work.
Use clinical reasoning skills to provide specialist support and advice to the occupational therapy team and other staff, whilst maintaining a clinical caseload on the Children's Disability Network Team.
To participate in ongoing audit and appropriate work-related research/evaluation projects in areas relevant to the clinical field.
Acting as a positive and supportive team leader in their speciality with strong leadership skills.
Applying advanced specialist knowledge and skills in their area of specialisation.
Acting in an advanced clinical advisory role to own colleagues and MDT within own organisation.
Developing colleagues' knowledge and skills by facilitating decision making and collaborative client consultation.
Minimum Requirements:1. Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc: Candidates for appointment must:
Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.Have five years full time (or equivalent) years post qualification clinical experience of which four years full time (or equivalent) must be consecutive in the required area of specialism.Demonstrate a proven record of clinical excellence.Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the required area of specialism, in the form of post-graduate qualifications or relevant courses.Demonstrate achievement in the areas of clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, practice development, teaching and research.Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.2. Annual Registration: On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU.Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.Additional Requirements: Be employed as a Senior Occupational Therapist.5 years' experience in the area of Paediatric (0-18 yrs) physical disability.Minimum of 5 years' experience working in the area of management of tone and posture.Must be eligible to work in the state.Valid driving licence for within the state/jurisdiction with access to own transport.Experience and/or training in clinical supervision.Experience in service development and practice standards development.Experience in managing databases and conducting audits.If you believe you would fit the role then please submit your application today.
