The TeamThe OCIO* & Change – Accountant/Analyst will be part of a team providing financial business partnering, budgeting, management accounting, reporting and forecasting services to the wider organisation (* Office of the Chief Information Officer). This team provides financial objectivity, challenge and insight into European Technology's finances and the performance of technology change programmes. It will provide Senior Leaders with support making effective decisions that drive business performance and the achievement of the division's financial and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities of the role:Partner with European Technology OCIO and Change teams to understand and report on project financial performance and prepare monthly financial outlooks.Provide financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analysing variations from budget. There will be a particular focus on engagement with, and support of, the organisations OCIO and Change Management functions.Maintain month end processes and contribute to the production of periodic financial and management reports and/or group returns within agreed deadlines.Produce recurring and ad-hoc financial analysis to support management decision making.Identify areas for process improvement.Support preparation of Business cases.Review, design, develop and/or implement accounting systems and reports, systems documentation and procedures/instructions.Monitor and review the work of less experienced / trainee accountants.What you will need to be successful in the role:Newly Qualified accountant (or passed finalist) with 3 to 4 years' experience (~1 year PQE).Previous experience of working in an IT or shared services environment an advantage.Experience in building budgets / forecasts and financial modelling and analysis an advantage.Commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.Oracle EPM and SAP systems knowledge particularly desirable.Excellent communication skills.The successful candidate will have a high level of self-motivation.Enthusiastic and able to represent the company in a professional manner.Key CompetenciesCommunication and InfluencingDrive for ResultsPlanning and OrganisingProblem Solving and Decision MakingTeam Working and Cross Functional CollaborationAbout us
