Operations AssistantOur client, a high-profile organisation in the Limerick & wider mid-west region, is expanding their team and has engaged with Cpl on an exclusive basis to help recruit an experienced Operations Assistant to join the team and take on this exciting role.
The successful candidate will have experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment and be committed to high standards of bar and ancillary retail services. Strong leadership and personnel management skills should be accompanied by a customer service focus and commitment to company values and image.
The Role:Reporting to the Operations Manager, the ideal candidate will assist at an operational level as needed and complete all tasks assigned, assisting the Operations Manager in the management and coordination of the Front of House and Retail teams.
Responsibilities to include:Lead Front of House and Retail management for concerts and eventsGeneral administrative duties including maintenance of timesheets, H&S, and retail recordsEnsure the safety of all patrons, staff, visitors, etc. through the proper implementation and enforcement of Health & Safety regulations and emergency proceduresWork closely with all relevant departments to ensure the venue and all events operate smoothly and efficiently, in accordance with licensing authority regulations and Health & Safety PolicyManage and assist with projects, which may include procurement, facilities, and event management, among othersEncourage and act upon customer comments and complaints to improve the venue's customer care philosophyManage all day-to-day bar and retail operations within budget guidelinesEnsure any legal requirements regarding weights and measures, licensing laws, health and safety, and fire procedures are always adhered toLead the Bar, Retail, and FOH team by attracting, recruiting, training, and appraising talented personnel to deliver on team objectivesMonitor staff's work performance, timekeeping, general discipline, and adherence to staff dress codeDevelop optimum levels of staff support through developing and managing staff rostersResponsible for the financial performance of the Bar and Retail unitsAdhere to targets and assist in the development of department budgetsEnsure that all relevant sales, revenue, and gross profit metrics are met or exceededManage and ensure tight stock control and cash handling procedures are metSkills & Experience that we need:Minimum of 3 years' relevant beverage management experienceA good understanding of contract management, procurement, project delivery, and commercial negotiationsTeam management and supervisory experienceUnderstanding of the Arts and venue managementProven history of supporting a high performing teamExperience with EPOS SystemsProven ability in collecting and analysing data and in producing financial reportsA strong work ethic; a good knowledge of people management practiceExcellent communication and people skills, written and verbal, with a strong focus on customer service. Exceptional customer service is a top priorityStrong leadership qualities, and ability to be initiative-taking and work on own initiative but must also be able to work effectively within a teamFlexibility to deal with a wide variety of events with differing requirementsExcellent organisational and time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise duties in a busy environmentAbility to be confident and positive when dealing with challenging situationsA proven history in a similar post is a requirement for this post.The Offer:This is a permanent onsite role, based in Limerick, with a base salary, depending on the candidate's experience, in the €27K - €32K per annum range, plus benefits.
The Operations Assistant will be required to work in accordance with the programme of events; therefore, their working hours will vary in line with service needs.
