Operations Supervisor (Imports & Exports)

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team in Cork.
The Operations Supervisor will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our freight forwarding operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities: Lead and supervise the freight forwarding operations team, providing guidance and support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Coordinate and oversee all aspects of cargo transportation, including booking shipments, arranging transportation modes, and monitoring deliveries. Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies. Collaborate with carriers, suppliers, and customs authorities to facilitate the timely and secure movement of goods. Address operational issues and resolve discrepancies promptly to minimize disruptions in the shipping process. Conduct regular performance evaluations of team members and provide training and development opportunities as needed. Maintain accurate records of shipments, documentation, and financial transactions in accordance with industry standards. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement effective strategies. Foster collaboration and communication with other departments to optimize overall business operations and customer satisfaction. Qualifications: Proven experience in freight forwarding operations. Thorough understanding of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as MS Office and logistics management systems. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively. Terms:
