Operations SupervisorResponsibilities: Identify and implement best practices to maximize production and recovery levels with the site C&D processing plant and other plants as required. Provide a permanent monitoring and supervision presence on-site, including within the assigned processing buildings and yard.Schedule work rotas for yard operatives (including machine operators) to ensure operational and annual leave needs are met. Provide temporary cover (for breaks of up to 30 minutes only) for any position reporting to this role when operational need requires. This role should not provide holiday and sickness cover for these positions; additional cover should be arranged.Ensure all personnel are fully trained for their role and that all work completed is in accordance with health and safety guidelines and practices. Liaise with the company Health & Safety function to ensure that all training records are recorded and kept up-to-date.Ensure that waste materials handling, separation, and delivery to appropriate outlets are conducted in the most appropriate and commercially responsible manner. Ensure all non-conforming incoming waste is notified for recharge and/or quarantined in line with Company procedures.Liaise with internal and external hauliers to keep on-site stock levels within acceptable levels.Be responsible for ensuring a maintenance program is acted upon, updated as necessary, and operated for all production and mobile plant on-site.Ensure that all pre-use plant checks are carried out before each shift and that any defects are reported immediately to the Operations Manager, implementing the required corrective actions in a timely manner.Supply all information required for weekly KPI reporting in a timely and accurate manner.Requirements: Line management experience or responsibility for a team.Experience and licenses for mobile plant equipment.Experience in a waste management facility preferable but not essential.
