Payroll Specialist

BenchMark are currently looking for a Payroll Specialist in Co Kilkenny.
This role requires a strong understanding of Irish payroll legislation, excellent attention to detail, and would suit someone with 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
The Role: Accurately prepare and process payroll on a weekly, fortnightly, and monthly basis.
Ensure compliance with all relevant Irish payroll legislation, including PAYE, PRSI, USC, and pension contributions.
Generate and submit required payroll reports, including Revenue submissions via ROS (Revenue Online Service).
Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries.
Maintain accurate payroll records, including employee information, pay rates, deductions, and leave balances.
Assist with year-end payroll processing, including the preparation of P60s, P35s, and other necessary documentation.
Pension administration for employees.
Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices, ensuring ongoing compliance and efficiency improvements.
Requirements A relevant qualification in payroll management, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing.
Strong understanding of Irish payroll legislation and regulations.
Experience with payroll software (e.g., Sage, Thesaurus, BrightPay) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
