Our site in Little Island, Cork, Ireland is seeking a PCB Designer to join our team!
POSITION SUMMARYAssists engineers in the design and development of complex and detailed layouts of printed circuit boards.
Designs from work orders, preliminary schematics, redlines, part lists, and basic descriptions of new designs, or modifies existing high density/complex printed circuit boards.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESHandles normal design/documentation under regular supervision.
Exercises good judgement in design and layout.Has good knowledge of and trains others in computer techniques, standards, symbols, nomenclature, engineering terms, and proper use of tools, reference books, and specific work areas.Schedules, creates, and verifies completed work, checking documentation outputs, BOMs, and CAM/CAD files.Other duties as assigned.WORK ENVIRONMENTWorks in a standard office environment and uses general office equipment (telephone, PC, copier, etc.
).Majority of time spent working on a PC and ECAD system.SKILLSMust have good knowledge of industry standards, such as IPC and Compliance Regulatory listings (UL, CSA, etc.
).Must have good knowledge of computers and CAD techniques.EXPERIENCEEssential: Two years of design/documentation experience or equivalent experience and/or education.
EDUCATIONEssential: Technical Institute Diploma in Electronic Engineering or similar discipline.
