NES Fircroft are seeking a Plant Operator to work for a global infrastructure group, based in Dublin.
Reporting within the Operations function, a Plant Operator is a team player and self-starter with the ability to multitask, meet deadlines as well as develop and motivate team members.
Key Responsibilities Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all plant on site.Ensuring the safety of all personnel.Conducting day-to-day activities such as monitoring, assessing, testing, and operating plant equipment.On a self-directed basis, training and developing to achieve and maintain competency.Compliance with safety and environmental obligations.Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.Supporting the shift operations team in day-to-day activities.Maintaining a shift operations record (log) and submitting reports as required by the Shift Team Leader and/or Operations Manager or Operations Project Manager.Assisting in the development and implementation of procedures and systems for plant operations, testing, and related activities.Attending and contributing to scheduled meetings.Involvement in initial frontline maintenance/troubleshooting.Outage and project management as required.Participation in business improvement projects, as required.Train and develop themselves and others as required.Provide cover on the operations roster as required.Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or Plant Operations Manager.EssentialAbility to analyse process and control information to appropriately respond to plant operational conditions.Experience in the operation of a Siemens CCGT (Combined Cycle Gas Turbine) large power plant based on 2:2:1 (2x V94.2 gas turbines, 2 x Austrian Energy Heat Recovery Steam Generators HRSG, 1 x Siemens 180 MW DN type Steam Turbine).Experience using the Siemens T3000 and TXP DCS.Excellent IT skills.Good written and verbal communication skills.High level of enthusiasm and willingness to learn.Flexibility to provide additional cover as required. Engineering/technical qualification, level 6 to 8, or equivalent operations experience.
Base Location - Poolbeg Power Station Dublin 4
The successful candidate must work from the base location on a full-time basis; remote work is not a feature of this role.
Please note that when the successful candidate is required to attend Poolbeg Power Station, travel, accommodation, and related expenses will not be reimbursed. Expenses incurred for business travel - that are not normally incurred by the successful candidate in their normal place of work - will be reimbursed.
Duration - Six months initially with the potential to extend.
The successful candidate must have use of a personal phone, laptop/PC and internet facilities, and must be equipped to fully engage in a professional manner during the course of the engagement.
