With a rich history spanning over 90 years, our client has been at the forefront of engineering and environmental challenges, particularly in the water sector. As they continue to expand their environmental sector, they are seeking a talented and experienced Ecologist to join their dynamic team.
As an Ecologist, you will be responsible for coordinating Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and statutory consent applications. You will lead and coordinate EIA projects for major infrastructure projects across all EIA stages, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Additionally, you will conduct ecological surveys, habitat assessments, and species-specific surveys to gather essential data for your reports.
Experience and Qualifications needed:A relevant third-level degree (Level 8 or higher).Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience, primarily in an ecology role within planning or environmental consultancy.Membership of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM).Delivery of, but not limited to, EIAR, NIS, EcIA, and AA.Leading, coordinating, and contributing to EIA projects for major infrastructure projects, including all stages of EIA.Experience in one or more technical areas relevant to marine EIA, such as aquatic ecology, marine ecology, ornithology, or commercial fisheries.In return you will receive: A competitive salary, Life cover, Health Insurance, Membership and subscription to a professional body, Flexible working arrangement, Hybrid work options, and pension plan.
