Principal Software Engineer Ireland (Remote) €90,000 - €100,000 My client, an established Irish software house, is embarking on an exciting journey to build an innovative AI product leveraging large language models (LLMs). Currently in the early phase of development, this is a unique opportunity to be a key player in shaping the future of AI within a well-respected company. They are seeking an exceptionally talented Principal Software Engineer to lead and drive this new initiative. Responsibilities: - Lead the design, architecture, and development of cutting-edge AI products with a focus on large language models (LLMs). - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a growing engineering team. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure cloud-based solutions. - Drive best practices for coding, testing, and deployment, ensuring high-quality software. - Work closely with stakeholders to align development efforts with business goals. - Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the product and technology strategy. Skills & Experience Required: - Extensive development experience: Proven expertise in Python is essential. Experience in TypeScript is advantageous. - Cloud technologies: Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. - Containerization & orchestration: Familiarity with Kubernetes and other containerization technologies is highly desirable. - Leadership ability: Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring technical teams, with a collaborative and strategic mindset. 'Lead' title is not necessary. - Problem-solving skills: Ability to tackle complex challenges and deliver creative, scalable solutions. - Some understanding of AI concepts and a passion for driving innovation and an interest in LLMs would be advantageous.
