The TeamThe European Privacy Team, based in Dublin, London and Paris we are part of the wider TikTok Global Privacy and Regulatory Affairs team and we advise and support all aspects of TikTok and Bytedance Business in terms of data protection matters, GDPR and ePrivacy compliance.
The RoleWe are looking for a privacy lawyer to join our European Privacy Legal team supporting on data protection matters, including privacy questions relating to the Digital Markets Act compliance.

- Advise and support on data protection matters relating to the implementation of the Digital Market Act, in particular articles 5.2, 6.9 and 15 DMA.
- Work closely with internal teams, including AI, advertising, and content delivery to implement and maintain a DMA-compliant profiling model repository.- Draft and maintain internal policies, procedures, and documentation for DMA related data privacy and governance.- Advise on data portability and access rights to ensure compliance with both DMA and GDPR requirements.- Support the company's response to queries and engagements by regulatory authorities concerning the DMA.- Support training and awareness initiatives across the company on privacy and compliance issues, focusing on DMA obligations and data governance.- Prepare reports for senior leadership and regulatory authorities on the company's compliance with the DMA.- Provide actionable and practical legal advice on product launches (including advertising related products and features), including legal basis analysis, transparency, and specialist advice on data subject rights; - Conduct and advise on compliance and accountability documentation including data protection impact assessments, legitimate interest assessments, and legal assessments relating to international data transfers; - Advise on transparency materials (including privacy policies, UX design, help centre content etc).
Minimum Qualifications:- Qualified lawyer and admitted to practice in an EU jurisdiction (or the UK);- Highly organised, self motivated person with strong communication skills - ability to communicate effectively and credibly;- Ability to assess legal, practical and business risks in a fast-paced environment and provide sound advice under tight deadlines, working independently and often in ambiguous situations; and- Ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience of advising clients in internet services, online advertising and/or e-commerce industries (in-house experience preferred).
