Hiring Manager: Daire Joyce Recruiter: James Porter Purpose: Development, modification, and control of functional and in-circuit test equipment during pre-production and production phases.
Monitors performance of test equipment and works to corrects test equipment or test software problems that produce non-conforming products, low yields, or product quality issues.
Interfaces with Design, Operations, Quality and Process Development organizations with a focus on integrating test processes for new products into the existing manufacturing area.
Key Responsibilities: System Design and Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements and design electrical test systems that meet quality and manufacturing standards.
Develop detailed electrical system architecture, including hardware, software, firmware, and automation components.
Utilise CAD tools, simulation software, and other relevant resources to create detailed design specifications.
Prototype Development and Testing: Build and assemble prototypes of electrical test systems for evaluation and validation purposes.
Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting of prototype systems to identify potential issues and optimise performance.
Collaborate with test engineers to refine and improve system designs based on testing feedback.
Verification and Validation: Develop and implement test plans to verify and validate the functionality, reliability, and accuracy of electrical test systems.
Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Documentation: Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including system specifications, design documentation, testing procedures, and user manuals.
Maintain accurate records of design changes, test results, and troubleshooting steps.
Integration and Implementation: Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to seamlessly integrate electrical test systems into pre-production and production manufacturing lines.
Ensure smooth transition of systems from development to production, considering scalability and maintainability.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in electrical test systems.
Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to enhance system design and development methodologies.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, to align goals and ensure successful project outcomes.
Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions effectively to team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience: Requires a minimum level 8 qualification in a relevant Engineering / Science degree.

Minimum of 3+ years' experience within a manufacturing environment.
