Procurement Manager - FMCG A successful Irish FMCG company with a culture of inclusivity, positivity, and entrepreneurial spirit is now hiring a Procurement Manager due to our expanding business.
Role: This will include sourcing all products, contracting agreements with suppliers at the right price, service level & quality, developing supply relationships, managing risks, and improving supply performance. You will play a vital part in ensuring the continued success and growth of our business.
Responsibilities: Oversee the supply performance, ensuring business needs are always met.Source business suppliers to supply required items to the business, including sourcing, qualifying, and ensuring budgets are adhered to.Identify opportunities for cost savings, service improvements, and process improvements within the department.Tender and negotiate with suppliers to ensure proper quality, cost, and service levels are met.Build existing relationships and develop new relationships as needed with existing and new suppliers to ensure continued high quality and standards.Work with colleagues and other departments to identify better procedures for using the ERP system and improving its efficiency.Collaborate with Sales and Marketing departments to ensure that supply meets the needs and wants of the end client and to ensure the company stays ahead of key competitor offerings.Continuously monitor supply risks and develop strategies for supply cover, anticipating problems before they arise.Align with the company's sustainability policy within the supply chain.Lead and empower other team members in the buying and procurement department, providing coaching, mentorship, and a safe learning environment for your colleagues.Share innovative ideas with an out-of-the-box approach to improve the supply chain, procurement & buying departments.Requirements: You have at least 5 years' experience in a procurement role, with at least 2-3 years of experience in a management or leadership procurement position.Hold a Third level (Bachelor's) Degree in either business, Procurement, or a food-related discipline.You have previous experience in the FMCG or similar industry; previous experience with fresh food distributors, vending machine companies, or supermarket procurement will help you to be impactful in this role.Have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, can foster strong and trusting relationships with suppliers and colleagues alike, and are confident in collaborating with various departments and team members.For more information, please contact Clodagh D'Arcy on 01 9476356 or email details to ******
