The role involves maintaining a reliable supply of goods and services, fostering team collaboration, achieving best in class value, service excellence, and quality.
This includes integrating S&OP and Lean methodologies for continuous improvement.
This is a permanent position.
The primary focus will be on Switchgear and Control Panel.
Responsibilities: Lead the Ireland Direct Spend Procurement Team, implementing Strategy, Policies, and Procedures to enhance team effectiveness.
Implement the Procurement Strategy across all purchasing channels and manage suppliers according to the Procurement Policy.
Oversee the ordering of goods and services per established policies and the S&OP process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Identify, develop, and implement solutions to procurement-related problems, driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance for new supplier applications, including contracts and NDAs, and maintain accurate vendor data.
Control spending, foster a culture of long-term savings and ensure we are achieving best in class value.
Report key metrics.
Delegate tasks, supervise purchasing and procurement colleagues, and provide information and guidance on procurement-related inquiries.
Collaborate with S&OP, supply chain, and logistics managers to manage inventory, ensuring adequate cover and identifying slow-moving stock and mitigate risk of obsolescence.
Manage and expedite open purchase orders to minimize operational disruptions and assist in resolving procurement, delivery, and contract issues.
Develop and update procurement forms, logs, databases, and records, performing administrative duties as needed.
Occasional international travel may be required.
Manage risk within our supply chain.
Requirements: Proven track record of leading procurement teams in manufacturing, energy, or power management.
Effective leadership and team management skills.
Extensive supplier management experience.
Strong multitasking ability and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong decision-making and analytical skills.
Desirable Skills: Experience in Procurement for Industrial Control Panels, Controlgear Assemblies, or Switchgear.
Experience with Lean methodologies.
Education and Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement is preferred.
