Our client develops, produces and markets pharmaceuticals for the therapy and care for critically and chronically ill patients worldwide.
They have a vacancy that runs to 31st July 2025 for an experienced Product Manager in pharmaceuticals to cover a maternity leave.
The role will be hybrid - office based 3 days/week and work from home 2 days/week.
The office is based in North County Dublin.
Job Purpose To develop and implement the product portfolio marketing strategy to deliver sustainable, profitable sales growth.
Main Accountabilities To prepare Strategic marketing plans and negotiate agreement on budget targets for product group.
Achievement of budgeted sales and gross margin for product group Manage the Associate Product Manager delegating portfolio products.
Optimise the IV Generics, Standard Solutions and Unlicensed Specials portfolio through successful launches of new products, rationalisation of unprofitable lines and clear product positioning Liaising with regulatory to manage product launches, labelling and implementation of regulatory changes Develop and maintain a network of external opinion leaders and strategic stakeholders to assist in the development or pursuit of the clients strategy Use market and sales knowledge to liaise with Supply Chain Manager and ensure the monthly sales forecasting system is updated as accurately as possible.
Work with Sales Manager and supply chain pro-actively to manage any stock shortages Communicate to HPRA of any significant stock shortage To maintain relevant market knowledge and customer insight especially by direct customer contact and supplemented by an appropriate range of qualitative and quantitative sources.
Generate new product and service development ideas and communicate through appropriate internal channels, including Region.
Ensure alignment of sales activity with marketing and operational plans.
Ensure all marketing materials are updated in line with IPHA guidelines Work with the Sales Manager and Sales Representatives in the preparation of tender / contract documents.
Provide training on product range focusing on sales and marketing positioning and campaigns.
Implement and update all relevant digital databases with the technical specifications Work with Sales Manager on the planning and execution of symposia.
Expenditure Responsibilities Control of marketing cost centres and personal expenses cost centre as agreed with Country Manager.
Performance Measurement Performance will be measured during one-to-one meetings and also annually using the Performance Review document.
