Product Operations are looking for a talented, passionate, self-motivated and hard-working Product Quality Engineer (PQE) to be part of a diverse, dynamic and high-energy team. We work in a highly complex, dynamic and multi-functional environment where we strive to consistently exceed customer expectations. You will be capable to lead and drive Quality initiatives and projects across multiple Lines of Business. You will also be able to set up and manage Vendor Quality management across different supply chains. The role will involve working across a range of functions in both Operations and Engineering.
Description As an experienced Quality Engineer, you will be a quality leader driving global and internal programs, systems development and improvement activities relating to the improvement of the Quality system. You will be a Quality subject matter expert where you are capable of working at both hands-on technical level and at a Quality management/strategic level. In addition, you will have the ability to manage quality both at a Vendor level and at an internal Factory level.
Lead all Quality readiness aspects for a complex program/project.Work with Vendors/CM to set up, manage and control incoming Quality supply chains.Be the interface and coordinate work activities between Quality and other functions.Use Vendor, Production and Field data to control and improve Product quality to improve process yields and reduce the field return rate.Develop and implement Product Quality plans for new Products or new Initiatives.Ensure lessons learned from prior projects are used to improve the quality management process, and lead to improved product quality and reliability.Be responsible for implementing quality systems and following through on improvements and corrective actions.Minimum Qualifications Bachelors or Master degree qualification with 5-10 years experience in a Technical or Engineering discipline.Proven experience of managing and driving Quality in a consumer Product quality area.Proven experience of managing Vendor/CM Quality and handling quality across supply chains.Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of quality and reliability concepts, supplier management, and general manufacturing operations. An area of expertise such as a specific process, material or industry is key to show depth of knowledge base.Project management experience and an ability to project manage all aspects of a complex quality project. Experience managing cross-functional teams.Has strong leadership skills and can lead and motivate other individuals.Experience in Product and Process validation including FMEA, DOE, Statistical analysis etc.Ability to understand and interpret Quality specifications and Technical drawings.Quality specific qualifications.Proficiency in Statistical analysis and data management.Willingness and availability to travel as required.
