The RoleThe Production Manager will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of all production elements for our events. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a keen eye for detail. The Production Manager will work closely with the creative, operations, and client services teams to ensure each event is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key responsibilitiesEvent Planning and Coordination:Develop detailed production plans and schedules for each event.Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure all production elements are aligned.Manage logistics, including venue arrangements, equipment rentals, and transportation.Budget Management:Create and manage production budgets.Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure the best rates.Track expenses and ensure all production activities stay within budget.Lead and motivate the production team, including technicians, stagehands, and other support staff.Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and monitor their performance.Provide training and development opportunities for team members.On-Site Event Management:Oversee the setup, execution, and teardown of events.Ensure all production elements are executed according to plan and meet quality standards.Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the event and implement solutions quickly.Client Relations:Liaise with clients to understand their vision and requirements.Provide regular updates to clients on the progress of production activities.Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality production services.Health and Safety:Ensure all production activities comply with health and safety regulations.Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures as needed.Ensure all team members are aware of and adhere to safety protocols.Ideal CandidateMinimum of 5 years of experience in production management, preferably within the events industry.Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events.Excellent organisational and project management skills.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Proficiency in production management software and tools.Creative problem solver with a proactive attitude.Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.Flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.Passionate about events and creating memorable experiences.
