Programme Executive, Shared Education for Positive Innovation The IRE based Programme Executive will work within the SEPI team to deliver this cross border schools based, peace and environment themed programme over 4 year Role: Programme Executive (IRE) SEPIReports to: Programme Manager SEPILocation: Co-operation Ireland Office, Monaghan Salary Scale: Point 2 - €38,000 - €42,000 per annum Contract Period: Fixed Term Contractuntil 31st August 2027Hours: 35 hours per week(Co-operation Ireland is committed to providing a positive working environment, supporting employees to achieve an appropriate work life balance and operates an attractive flexible working policy, including hybrid working).Job Purpose SummaryLed by the Programme Manager, the IRE based Programme Executive will work together with a counterpart in NI and staff within Catalyst as well as a wider support team to deliver on the activities and deliverables as outlined in an agreed workplan.
Although each will lead on specific areas and bring specialisms, all members of the team will be involved with the design, planning, delivery, evaluation and reporting of all deliverables.SEPI Background The Shared Education for Positive Innovation programme (SEPI), funded under PEACEPLUS measure 3.1, is a transformative initiative that brings together schools – school leaders, teachers and students - from Northern Ireland, the border counties, and the wider island creating networks for relationship building and shared learning amongst students and educationalists.
Co-operation Ireland will lead the delivery of SEPI in partnership with Catalyst, and with assistance and input from the Education Authority NI, Leargas, and Kinia.
SEPI will be delivered to 500 schools over a 4-year period and incorporates 2 concurrent and complimentary elements of activity with 2 overarching objectives as follows; Core Programme: Shared Challenges and Shared Solutions: Building Educational Networks for Peace Over a 4-year period, SEPI will establish and operate a dynamic, innovative Shared Education platform, facilitating continuous interaction and collaboration among a core group of 100 schools.
Transformational Schools Leadership Programme: Shared Learning and Collaboration Over a 4-year period, SEPI will engage with a further 400 schools in a programme of shared learning and best practice exchange for school leaders and educationalists.
Programme Mangement:Assist in planning and coordinating all SEPI events, ensuring smooth logistics and execution.Manage the recruitment and retention of schools onto the programme, ensuring alignment with SEPI goals and objectives.Assist with the implementation of the SEPI programme, fostering collaboration and shared learning among schools, leaders, teachers, and students.Event Logistics and Coordination:Manage logistics of conferences, workshops, and seminars for networking among students and educationalists.
Develop and help co-ordinate yearly conferences for educationalists and students.
Relationship Building and Networking:Establishing strong relationships with key contacts within schools and education settings promoting cross-border and cross-community collaboration.
Informal Learning/Training:Support partners in their delivery and training on climate change, peacebuilding, and relationship building.Monitoring and Evaluation:• Monitor program activities and assess outcomes, collecting data for evaluation.• Identify areas for improvement and innovation in collaborative efforts.Documentation and Reporting:• Maintain accurate records of program activities and outcomes.• Support in preparing reports for stakeholders, highlighting achievements and recommendations.Compliance and Risk Management:• Ensure compliance with regulations as instructed by the programme manager.• Participate in the identification, mitigation and monitoring of financial, operational and safeguarding risks.

DesirableProfessional teaching, training or youth work qualification or other qualification relevant to the role description.Previous Experience/TrainingEssentialStrong understanding of and the education sector.Knowledge and experience with monitoring and evaluation systems and processes.Experience in writing for and communicating with diverse audiences and stakeholders.Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office packages.DesirableExperience in reconciliation, promoting good relations, and cross-border peace-building.Experience in working with young people.Proficiency in designing research methodologies and utilising data collection tools.Familiarity with a range of other project, data and people management software – e.g.
Sharepoint, JEMS, Miro, Trello etc.Experience in event planning and execution e.g.
conferences, workshops, transport etc.OtherEssentialWilling and able to travel extensively within IRE, NI and occasionally further as required.Willing and able to work extended hours when required (within Co-operation Ireland's Flexible Working Policy).
Possession of a valid driver's licence and access to a car for business purposes.
