Job OverviewFBD is looking to fill the role of a Programme (Portfolio) Manager within the IT Project Delivery Team.
The role is focused on the management of a team of project managers who are responsible for planning, governance and for overseeing the successful delivery of projects within FBD.
The successful candidate should excel in managing people and has experience in managing programmes and large-scale projects.

Job Responsibilities Oversee and mentor a team of project managers throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to governance and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with FBD's governance frameworks and continuously refine processes to meet evolving business needs.
Oversee resource capacity and project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of resources.
Manage financial performance of the programme.
Identify and manage risks, escalating issues when necessary and implementing corrective actions to maintain project delivery schedules.
Act as an escalation point for stakeholders, providing clear, concise updates on progress, risks and outcomes.
Support the project manager across their projects and help coordinate interdependencies, ensuring seamless alignment to the broader programme outcomes.
Collaborate with business change managers to align project outputs with desired business outcomes.
Build strong relationships with other Programme Managers and teams across FBD to foster collaboration and optimize programme delivery.
Review and analyse project control documentation, including schedules, cost plans, and scope documents, ensuring alignment with FBD's standards and best practices.
Education A formal project management certification (e.g.
PMP, P3O, PRINCE 2, or equivalent).
Understanding of Waterfall and Disciplined Agile/SCRUM methodologies.
MS Project and MS Office toolset (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experiences Extensive experience in portfolio, programme, and project management, overseeing multiple complex initiatives.
Strong knowledge of the project lifecycle, governance processes, and associated methodologies and tools.
Demonstrable experience in managing project financials, reporting, and risk management.
CompetenciesThe Programme Manager must have strong practical experience in project management, gained through managing large and complex projects.The following skills must also be apparent: Proven experience managing large, complex projects and programmes with a strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Disciplined Agile/SCRUM).
Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate project managers, fostering an environment of collaboration and high performance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with stakeholders at all levels and across diverse teams.
Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation with a focus on maximizing efficiency and minimizing risk.
Ability to think strategically and find creative solutions to complex problems.
Comfortable managing both internal and partner resources, understanding delivery constraints, and responding flexibly to evolving project demands.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with a positive attitude and respond well to management requests.
MCCThis role is being offered as a permanent role and it is hybrid role (requirement to work from the office on a Monday and Tuesday).
