An experienced construction health & safety officer required to work on projects based in Cork City CentrePromote safe working practices and ensure the implementation of company HSE policy and procedures on siteCarry out regular site HSE inspections and report back findings to relevant personnelEnsure that the project has been provided with the relevant HSE documentationEnsure that HSE project plans meet company standardsEnsure that HSE issues are discussed at project review meetingsKeep and maintain clear records to comply with company internal and external audit standardsAssist site managers and sub-contractor owners with risk assessments and sub-contractor evaluations and documentation review when requestedDeliver HSE training where appropriate and as agreed with the Project ManagerSuggest, communicate and promote initiatives for incident prevention and forward to Project Manager / HSE & Sustainability Manager for considerationRequirementsLevel 7 qualification in Health and Safety3 years successful postgraduate experience in Project HSE ManagementThorough knowledge of ISO: 45001 and ISO: 14001 standardsWorking towards graduate membership of IOSHAbility to deliver internal Health and Safety management coursesAbility to advise on HSE issues on a day to day basis on siteAbility to conduct standard accident/incident investigationsAbility to write HSE site reportsQualification in Environmental Management is desirablePackage€55k - €75k Negotiable dependant on experienceFull-time permanent staff role with great career prospects
