Project Manager – Manufacturing Automation Projects We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager to lead and manage high-value bespoke automation projects in fast-paced manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with a focus on automation systems, robotics, and manufacturing processes. They will be responsible for the end-to-end management of complex, custom automation projects that are integral to the optimization of our manufacturing operations.

The Person: Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of high-value, bespoke automation projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget. Develop detailed project plans, including scope definition, milestones, resources, timelines, and budgets. Coordinate cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, operations, procurement, and external vendors, to deliver project outcomes. Identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success. Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, and clients, ensuring transparent communication and alignment of project goals. Present project status, updates, and key metrics to senior management and stakeholders at regular intervals. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project support and collaboration. Work closely with engineering teams to ensure automation solutions are designed and implemented to meet the specific requirements of the manufacturing environment. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices in all automation systems. Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure efficient use of resources throughout the project lifecycle. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements through automation. The Role: Proven track record of managing complex, high-value automation projects in a manufacturing environment. Minimum of 5+ years' experience in project management, ideally within automation, robotics, or engineering sectors. Strong project management skills with experience using tools such as MS Project, Asana, or similar platforms. Excellent understanding of automation technologies, robotics, and manufacturing processes. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and automation designs. AutoCad experience an advantage. Strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills. Ideally an Engineering or Technical Qualification. Project Management Qualification.
