Project Quantity Surveyor – Munster Regional OfficeLocation: Cork
Job Type: Permanent, full-time
Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Head of Commercial & Estimating; the successful candidate will gain full training and excellent exposure across the entire spectrum of Electric Skylines Projects.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident, and highly motivated with good communication skills, able to work independently as well as part of a team. The candidate must also be able to work to deadlines and possess a very high level of I.T. and reporting skills.
Responsibilities: Compile estimations, bills of quantities, and quotations for ProjectsObtain quotations from Suppliers & Sub-contractorsManage & Track quotations issued to Clients via our CRM System (full training provided)Subcontract management including payment claim assessmentCompile Interim Progress Claim Valuations and Final Accounts to ClientsCompile & substantiate Variations and Extension of Time Claims to ClientsCost reportingAssist with the compilation of Tender submissions for large ProjectsAssist with large Contract Management and AdministrationInteract with the company team to maximize project & financial management, procurement, production, and strategiesThe Person: Degree educated in Quantity Surveying or Construction ManagementAbility to coordinate and prioritize several projects at the same timeCommercially & Contractually awareAbility to achieve demanding targets and deadlinesStrong time management and reporting skillsGood IT skills with high competency in Microsoft Excel & WordMethodical with attention to detail and accuracyGood at working with people at all levels and within a team environmentEager to learn and develop professionally2+ Years previous construction industry experienceExperience within the Civil Engineering and/or Utilities sector will be highly regardedCork Office
