Crinan Youth Project, is a drug treatment programme for 14-21 year olds with drug and/or alcohol problems. Working from a social change model and through the use of ACRA (adolescent community reinforcement approach) to empower young people to address their substance use and change their lifestyle. Crinan Youth Project is seeking to employ a skilled, dynamic worker for the following post: PROJECT WORKER Full-time (35 hours excluding lunch) The person we are seeking will be enthusiastic, highly motivated and will have the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team in a community based project. The main tasks include: Project Work, Keyworking, careplanning, administrative duties, report writing, statistics reports, eCass, NDTRS- HRB Link system. Some Facilitation and development of drugs education, psychoeducation groups (outreach and in house). Out of hours/evening work a minimum of 2-3 evenings per week required. Essential A professionally endorsed qualification in Youth and Community work, Social Care, or Addiction Studies. Minimum 2 years full time experience of working with young people at risk and/or substance misuse; Have completed training in ACRA/CRA or other evidence based practices IT skills, proficiency on word, ECass and NDTRS- HRB link system. An understanding of, and an ability to objectively carry out, individual needs assessments and developing care plans to suit. Experienced in the Key working, Care planning, and Case Management Processes Excellent communication and listening skills. Good team player An understanding of issues relating to problem drug use, homelessness, dual-diagnosis and progression pathways towards community-based rehabilitation, housing, and training services. Desirable:Group facilitation, report writing, computer literate, Working knowledge of ACRA an advantage.
