Our extensive Retail Operation of 130 nationwide Stores provide support and critical funds to meet the essential services of the 55,000 sight loss client users across the island of Ireland.
Vision Ireland currently wish to recruit a commercially astute Property Manager to oversee our nationwide network of retail stores, regional centres, offices, warehouses and residential units.
The successful person will manage and represent company interests offering advice on factors affecting company buildings.
You will be expected to work alongside local planning bodies, clients, landlords, construction workers and other professionals to ensure property projects meet the relevant safety, sustainability and preservation standards whilst ensuring any such projects are completed on time and within budget.
Theideal applicant will love to work with a diverse team across all aspects of the Vision Ireland group, have extensive experience in property management, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to project manage, both people and property assets.
Principal Duties: Establish strong stakeholder relationships with property companies Manage agreements for upgrades and renewals on existing sites Carry out any feasibility studies and address any potential problems before it can escalate.
Understand and be able to interpret the agreements with landlords and associated paperwork Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of property operations, maintenance activities, tenant communications, and financial transactions Review meetings with stakeholders and management of future properties Negotiate renewal of site agreements to future proof our strategy Work within annual budgets Advising on health and safety aspects of building management and construction.
Advising on environmental impact, energy efficiency and sustainability Advising on contractors and organising documents for tender.
Managing any insurance assessments.
Ensuring construction projects are completed on time and within budget Maintenance and facilities management Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to property operations and implement mitigation strategies to reduce risk exposure.
You will be required to be flexible in this role and must be prepared to perform other tasks and undertake additional duties in any area of the business as determined by Management.
These tasks may be outside your normal work area.
Knowledge, skills and experience required (Mandatory) ?
Over three years experience in the property industry - experienced applicants should have a qualification (preferably degree level) in Estate Management, Property Economics or equivalent.
Other relevant experience will be considered.
Ability to work as part of a cross functional team.
Self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude, able to work under pressure.
Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Competence in Microsoft Office suite.
Full clean driving license is essential.
