A Purchasing Specialist is required to join a leading Life Science Business based in County Waterford. This is a permanent role offering hybrid working (2 days per week on-site). Key Responsibilities Support Sourcing initiatives across direct and indirect category areasDevelop spend analysis and gather market intelligenceSupport P2P process to ensure all process and checks are followed.Liaise directly with Supplier for negotiating various contracts with vendors on quality, price, and deliverySupport category sourcing strategy for defined portfolio through business need assessment, market intelligence, supplier evaluations and sourcing choicesData analysis and support for purchasing projects (supplier master files, item pricing files, price agreements, contracts, quarterly reporting of KPI's savings reporting). The Person Bachelor's Degree within a Technical or Business discipline, preferably in Supply Chain1-3 years of related work experience in a purchasing role or other commercial capacity.Demonstrated skills in sourcing, procurement, and supplier management, preferably in a purchasing environment.A customer-focused approach to align with business priorities and meet the business needs.Ability to engage, interact and negotiate value-enhancing relationships with suppliers.Good communication skills, both verbal and written are required.Coupa experience is preferred but candidates with experience of systems such as Ariba, SAP and Oracle are also encouraged to apply.
