Qa Team Lead - Biotech - Waterford

Job DescriptionThe Quality Assurance Team Leader - has a primary role in (1) assuring that products are manufactured and released in accordance with relevant cGMPs and (2) leading the QA team to achieve the above in an inclusive team based environment (3) support the management of the site Pharmaceutical Quality System.
Accountabilities:Provide quality expertise and support to the QA team and siteImplement and maintain compliant Pharmaceutical Quality SystemLead a team of Quality Assurance specialists to optimum performance, while maintaining a positive team environmentManage performance of Team Members and overall team on an on-going basisProvide and encourage clear open communications with the QA team and siteEffective and co-operative interaction with all departments on matters related to QualityEnsure compliance to the Pharmaceutical Quality System is maintained and its effectiveness monitored Delivery of assigned projects on plan.RequirementsDegree in Science or related area (Chemistry, Microbiology or Pharmacy preferred)Qualified Person qualification desirable but not essentialExperience: 3 - 5 years experience working in a Healthcare manufacturing environment - ideally most of which would be in the pharmaceutical sectorExperience of managing / coordinating teams would be considered an advantageExperience of aseptic manufacturing processes would be considered an advantagePrevious experience managing and leading teams would be considered an advantage.
