Job Title: Quality Control Supervisor Location: County Kildare Company: Leading Beverage Manufacturer Company Overview: Our client is a prominent beverage manufacturer renowned for crafting high-quality fruit juices, concentrates, and blends for over 50 years. Position Overview: The QC Supervisor will oversee the Quality Control (QC) Department, ensuring efficient operations and adherence to industry standards. This role involves managing a team of 10, reporting directly to senior management. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality across all production stages, from raw materials to finished products. This role is based on site in Kildare, 5 days a week. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Direct and manage the QC team, ensuring effective performance and development. Set objectives aligned with business goals and oversee team commitments and performance reviews. Quality Assurance: Oversee the testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct root cause analysis on product defects and recommend corrective actions. Process Improvement: Develop and implement work processes to meet current and future departmental demands, driving continuous improvement initiatives. Collaboration: Work closely with international QC teams to ensure alignment in testing methods and specifications. Maintain strong relationships with vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders. Documentation: Ensure accurate documentation of all testing activities and perform statistical analysis to support decision-making. Manage and track expired materials and perform shelf-life evaluations when necessary. New Product Integration: Coordinate the transfer of new product formulas, including the implementation of new QC specifications and test methods. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a science-related field. 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the food or pharmaceutical industry.
