Our Shannon based Client, a well renowned precision engineering company, are looking for an experienced Quality Manager to join their growing team. The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the quality management system within our manufacturing operations. The role works closely with production teams to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance and Control: Develop, implement, and maintain the quality management system (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve product quality. Conduct regular quality audits and inspections of manufacturing processes, raw materials, and finished products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues, non-conformities, and deviations. Quality Standards and Compliance: Stay up-to-date with industry-specific quality standards, certifications, and regulations. Ensure that the company's quality processes align with industry best practices. Implement and maintain AS9100 & ISO9001 certification or equivalent quality standards. Quality Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to production staff to ensure they understand and adhere to quality control measures. Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization. Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with procurement teams to establish and maintain supplier quality agreements. Evaluate supplier performance and address any quality issues with suppliers. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records, including inspection reports, test data, and documentation of corrective actions. Generate regular quality reports for management, highlighting areas for improvement and recommending solutions. Quality Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency gains. Lead or support quality improvement projects and initiatives. Customer Satisfaction: Monitor customer feedback and quality-related complaints, and develop strategies to address customer concerns and improve satisfaction. Qualifications: Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Management, or Manufacturing). 5+ years of experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing environment. In-depth knowledge of quality management principles, standards, and tools. Familiarity with AS9100 or equivalent quality management systems. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Proficiency in quality-related software and tools. Certification in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma) is a plus.
